Community service is the core of our Leadership Academy program,
therefore all of our students
participate in
volunteer work, both in their community, and in the neighborhood around the
school.
Students form and operate their own youth group. The Aoral Youth
Club is now officially recognized as a Rotaract club, which allows members to
connect internationally with other young volunteers.
It also gives them support
and a base of resources.
Through this group, students are able to create and pursue projects, present ideas to each other, and take charge of their own fundraising.
Cultivating an interest in volunteer work during students' time at the Leadership Academy feeds into the Mentorship Program after graduation.
Past projects have included: self-development workshops with younger students, community garbage pickup, supplying libraries with books, and holiday celebrations at primary schools.
